How CaughtUp stays spoiler-free
CaughtUp is a spoiler-safe character guide: every fact — every bio, relationship, and appearance — carries the stamp of the episode it becomes known in. The interactive map filters everything to the exact episode you've reached; these static guides go one step further and describe each character only as of their first appearance.
How is the data curated?
Each series is modeled as episode-stamped facts: characters carry staged bios (one per major turn), relationships carry start and end stamps, and appearances are recorded per episode. Stamps are curated from Wikipedia episode articles and cross-checked against fan wikis (whose text is licensed CC BY-SA). A validation suite checks every stamp against the episode list, and an automated spoiler test asserts that no page reveals anything beyond its declared horizon.
What does "spoiler-safe" mean exactly?
A fact stamped Season 2, Episode 3 may include events of that episode itself, but nothing learned later. Character pages in this guide render the introduction state only: who the character is when they first walk on screen, which group they belong to, and which relationships are already established. Deaths, betrayals, and twists are never mentioned here — open the interactive map and set your episode to see more.
Why not just use a wiki?
Wikis document complete arcs — looking up a name mid-season usually means learning how that character ends. CaughtUp exists for the opposite moment: you heard a name, you want to place it, and you want to keep watching unspoiled.
