Stick (The blind old soldier who built the weapon) is a character in Daredevil, part of Hell's Kitchen. Stick found a blind, angry boy in an orphanage and forged him into a weapon for a war he declined to explain — then walked out when the boy made the mistake of loving him. He returns trailing that war (the Hand, the Chaste, a child-shaped weapon called Black Sky) and a training philosophy of calculated cruelty: attachments are liabilities, cities are battlefields, sentiment gets soldiers killed. Stick is the show's bad father in a series full of them — and infuriatingly, frequently right.
