Aleksander Tiedemann (The plant director) is a character in Dark, part of Doppler & Tiedemann. Aleksander Tiedemann directs the Winden nuclear power plant in its final years before decommissioning — a careful, contained man who married into the town's establishment and made its name his own. He loves Regina with the devotion of someone who owes his whole life to a single kindness, which happens to be the literal truth. Aleksander arrived in Winden in 1986 with a bag, a gun, and a different name; the town has never asked.
