Tom Garvey (The son who ran to a prophet) is a character in The Leftovers, part of The Garveys. Tom Garvey — Kevin's stepson, Laurie's son — fled the post-Departure Garvey wreckage into the orbit of Holy Wayne, a prophet who hugs the pain out of people and collects young Asian brides. Tom drives, guards and believes, until the job becomes smuggling Christine, pregnant with Wayne's child, across a country that shoots at prophets.
