Who is Viktor Bryukhanov in Chernobyl?
The plant director · Plant & Pripyat
Viktor Bryukhanov (The plant director) is a character in Chernobyl, part of Plant & Pripyat. Viktor Bryukhanov built the Chernobyl plant and the model city of Pripyat beside it, and his career is mortared into both. Woken to news of an explosion, he convenes the bunker meeting that sets the night's tone: the reactor cannot have exploded, therefore it has not, therefore the readings are wrong.
