Sayid Jarrah (The soldier trying to retire his hands) is a character in Lost, part of Flight 815 Survivors. Sayid Jarrah fixes the transceiver before anyone has finished panicking: a former Iraqi Republican Guard communications officer, and the most operationally competent person on the beach. He is searching the world for one woman, Nadia, and trying to outrun what his old job made him — an interrogator.
